| My husband and I were interested in a larger home to accommodate our family but that first meant selling a unique, cottage-style home. Chris initially sent out a professional Stager to assist in making our home attractive to many different buyers. Chris was diligent after every open house to follow up with potential buyers. We had so many showings that we lost track and each time they were followed up with by Chris. Even though we did not sell our house on the first offer, or the second because of inexperienced buying agents, the final selling offer went through smoothly and we were confident about our closing.
When we knew it was time to find a house and find it fast, Chris walked us through homes which were exactly to our liking and did not push us into an unaffordable one. She communicated well with the selling agent and bargained for us. It was really close but it worked out at a great price and good closing date. After many months on the market and so much anxiety about finding a new home, Chris really pulled us through and did not skip a beat. Chris has a wonderful enthusiasm for her work and she seems very well connected to the community. I would recommend her and use her again although we love our new house and we aren’t moving again! Just a quick happy note…. People often ask me why I chose Christine Valerius as my agent and what specifically does she do that is great. They ask me because they know I know a lot of people and am friends with lots of different agents. My answer is always the same: "Because she always does the fricken job." Then they look at me kind of like, "That’s it?"….and then I say to them….let’s see, I’ll be 49 soon, been working since I was 16, so that’s about 33 years of working with probably hundreds, maybe several thousand people over the years? I then ask them, out of the hundreds or thousands of people you’ve worked with over the years, how many of those people can you actually say always do the job? 2, maybe 3 people? I then say, Yeah, Chris is one of those 2 or 3 people. : ) Thanks again for all your help…. |
| I have known Christine for about three years as she was my husband Ken’s partner at Coldwell Banker until he lost his battle with cancer last year. | Chris Valerius came to us as a recommendation. She came highly recommended as the best choice for an agent - especially with the kind of property we were selling. This was a potential tear-down so it had to be marketed in several different ways in order to capture all the potential buyers that existed out there.
I felt Chris handled our situation with class as my sibling and I were at odds at to what price to list the house at. My sibling was not really ready to sell when the house was first put on the market. Chris respected the many wishes of my sibling even though I am sure it was against her better judgment. Because the house was a potential tear down, Chris went the extra mile and hired an architect to draw up a set of plans to be able to show prospective home buyers what they could build on the lot should they decide to tear the existing house down. She sent numerous copies of the plans out to prospective buyers so it was obvious to me that there was a need for that service. Chris kept in constant contact with all of the people who had expressed interest in our property. In the end it was because she had stayed in touch with this individual that they ended up signing a purchase agreement. They were extremely pleased with how everything turned out and expressed their gratitude to Chris for being persistent and staying in touch with them.
